  She didn’t need more instruction. As soon as she lowered her lips to Carter’s erection, Brody released it to her. He grabbed her hips and lifted them higher so her ass rose obscenely in the air.

  “You think I’m kidding?” His voice was hoarse with emotion.

  She couldn’t see his face, but Carter was smirking.

  “You gonna deny the chemistry we have together?”

  “Nope.” She smiled at Carter, winking.

  “Do you know how long I have wanted this?” Brody asked.

  “Probably for as long as I have. I just didn’t realize it. I dreamed of both of you. I even dreamed of both of you together and with me. But I never fully put the entire scene together. All three of us. It’s intense. I’m still shaking.”

  Brody leaned in closer. His lips on her ear made her shiver. “Like I said, we’re keeping you. This is your home now. I realize there are a thousand details, but one thing is for sure, we belong together. Without you, Carter and I are not whole. I don’t need days or weeks or months to be sure. I’m so fucking certain I will tie you to this bed until you see reason.”

  Carter’s eyes were dancing.

  She twisted her neck to meet Brody’s gaze. “Brody, calm down. I’m not leaving. Except to get my clothes. I’m here now. I’m yours. Take a breath.”

  He stared at her for a moment, his face stone. Finally, he let himself believe, smiling at her. “You mean it?”

  “Yes.”

  He shifted his attention to Carter. “She said yes.”

  “I heard,” Carter joked. He cupped her breast. “I’m glad because I need to spend some more time exploring these fucking hot tits.”

  Brody dropped back onto his side behind Jade, groaning. “I’ve unleashed a monster.”

  “Don’t worry, hon,” Carter responded. “I won’t neglect you. But these.” He jiggled one. “And this…” His hand went to her pussy, cupping her heat until she gasped. “So many possibilities.”

  “Yeah, and I’m sure you’re going to explore them all as soon as I leave you two alone the first time.”

  “Mmm.” Carter nuzzled her neck. “If I start now, maybe we can cover so many positions by Monday morning that you won’t miss the show.”

  Brody shot up to his elbow again, staring down at her. His eyes were drawn together. “What do you mean?”

  His expression changed, softening. She could see the wheels turning. “When we go to your apartment to pick up your clothes, the toys are coming too.”

  Within moments, Brody’s breathing evened out and his grip eased on her hip, telling her he had fallen asleep.

  Carter was still staring her in the eyes, and she held his gaze for a very long time, communicating everything they had never said to each other, making up for years of feelings without speaking a word.

  Finally, she grew too tired to hold the stare and let her eyes slide shut. She was still smiling from happiness as she drifted to sleep.

  She lifted her gaze and tugged on the collar of her stupid jacket with one hand. “Nothing. It’s just hot in here.”

  He frowned. “So, take off the jacket.”

  She shook her head. “It would ruin the costume.”

  “I’m pretty sure between the heels, the leather pants, the teased hair, the red lipstick, and the wad of gum, you’re safe.”

  She’d forgotten the gum, and she immediately grabbed a bar napkin and spit it out.

  Landon leaned in closer. “Besides, I’m curious about this 1950s top you’ve got on under that jacket.” His gaze lowered to her chest.

  She self-consciously lowered a hand to tug the top up a bit, making sure her girls were still covered. She was wearing a black strapless bra under the tube top, but the lack of material still unnerved her. She wasn’t the sort to wear something strapless. “Yeah, well, I don’t need everyone in the office accidentally seeing more than they should. Monday morning would be an uncomfortable day if there are pics floating around of me having a wardrobe malfunction.”

  He laughed, harder than she’d ever heard him before. He was far more relaxed outside of the office. And he shocked her to death when he tugged his hand from his pocket and set a finger on her exposed belly. “You have like one inch of skin showing. I don’t think it’s going to cause inner-office sexting. There are several employees dressed in far less material than you.” He punctuated his words by dragging that finger across her midriff until he tapped her belly button.

  She sucked in a sharp breath, goose bumps rising on her skin. Surely she was reading too much into this banter. He could not be hitting on her. Gah. It was impossible to know for sure. The last thing she wanted was to misinterpret his intentions. It would be extremely embarrassing if she did. And she still had to work for the man five days a week.
